The room was spacious and spotless, with the reception area having a laid-back characterful vibe, fronting a tree-lined street. The room itself backed onto a leafy residential shared garden (belonging to the apartment complex next door) that provided a quiet green oasis almost all of the time, with big windows to soak in the serenity. The location is central, two kilometres to Tianenmen square and just a few hundred metres to The temple of Heaven, as well as many theatres, restaurants and shops. The price was cheap for Beijing and the staff were helpful and spoke English. Note that there is a shared fridge downstairs rather than bar fridges in the rooms, but this worked well.
